“A heartfelt thank you to the team at Rest Your Paws. We called them on such short notice and Dr Brittany was at our door within the hour from our phone call. The compassionate care our beautiful 12 year old Archie received made the whole process so reassuring as it is such a tough decision. His final moments were happy with tummy rubs and lots of "good boy" moments. Archie knew he was loved and was calm and restful when the time came. Dr Brittany spent so much time in our home and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. It was unrushed, caring and at our pace. We cannot thank you enough for your love and attention. “From initial call to understand the service you provide to the final difficult call to organise it for it to happen where I struggled to keep myself together and was incapable in forming a sentence, your call staff’s patience and empathy was next level. How they do this for a living is to be admired. Then the actual consult, the Vet asked how our beloved dog was going and assured us that we were making the right decision and that he will go peacefully. This made it easier from the start. Vet went through the process and took it slow and easy. Gave plenty of time for say final goodbyes as we stuffed him with chocolate as his last meal. While it was extremely sad, the way it was done at home made it a beautiful send off. Compared to putting our other dog down at a clinic (nothing against clinics) the experience was much better at home where our dog was surrounded by people that love him and he was in his happy place.”
