“Dr Lauren and the team at Rest Your Paws were amazing, I recommend their service for anyone considering a home based goodbye for their precious pet. I knew it was time for my Bella to leave her pain and old 16yo body behind, but wasn’t prepared when she declined quickly on New Year’s Eve. I called RYP at 8am on NYD and dr Lauren was here by 1030am which was incredible given it was a public holiday. She was so kind and compassionate, treated us and Bella with the utmost respect and was so patient and considerate in what was a very sad day. The process was patient, loving and peaceful, a candle with her name was lit, paw prints and a jar of her hair for keepsakes and I was able to help take Bella out to the vets car in a lovely soft bed. The final beautiful touch was the car boot covered with a white fluffy blanket and flowers. I felt like we’d had a funeral for Bella and a proper goodbye. I’m forever grateful for the RYP service, it’s helped with the grief knowing Bella had the best passing possible 🩷🐶🌈 **(note that I provided the photo frame for the paw prints)”

“I’d give an infinite amount of stars to this review if I could. From the very beginning the team at Rest Your Paws showed genuine compassion and kindness towards my heartbreaking situation. Somehow the beautiful ladies on the other side of the telephone were able to understand what I was saying through the snotty, ugly cry I tried so hard to hold back. They offered supportive options without any pressure, and reassured me that the decision was freely mine to make. My beautiful girl Zepha took a sudden turn during Christmas week. I didn’t think it would be possible to arrange in-home care during this busy season at such short notice. The ladies assured me that they would do everything possible to assist, and they did not disappoint. We were blessed with Dr Katie, an angel on earth. While I was overwhelmed with sadness, she remained composed, offering gentle words and comforting hugs for both myself and our Zepha girl. Dr Katie explained the entire process in terms easily understood (even when my brain turned into emotional goo), and encouraged my 4 yo son and his cousins to participate in saying their goodbyes. When loved ones have died in our family we’ve told a story to my son of how they join the stars in the sky to watch over us. Dr Katie extended this story by explaining that once Zepha reaches the sky, she will send us a special package of her very own star dust (ashes) to treasure forever. Dr Katie lit a personalised “Zepha” candle, made gorgeous canvas paw prints for each of the kids, and discreetly trimmed a portion of Zepha’s hair, placing it in a little bag for me to keep. The entire process was handled with the upmost professionalism and care. Dr Katie introduced us to Shaun, from Buddy (the after-care provider), who offered his sincere condolences and assurance that Zepha was in gentle hands. She looked so peaceful as we all placed our flowers upon her and kissed her goodbye. Knowing that she was going direct to the aftercare location and would be personally delivered back to us was comforting. Our Zepha girl was so unique and special to us. She deserved the finest send off, and my word, she got it. Dr Katie, Shaun and everyone at Rest Your Paws, I cannot thank you enough for the exceptional service you’ve provided to us. “We had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Chiefy boy a few days ago 💔 We were and still are heartbroken but right from the initial contact the team at Rest your paws were so compassionate and helpful. On the day Dr Anna took the time to get to know our boy and gained an understanding of what he meant to us. She was kind, thoughtful and empathetic. We were talked through every step of the process, were encouraged to share our memories of Chief and it wasn't rushed. Our children were able to assist with getting paw prints and locks of fur which will forever be treasured by our family and then our boy was tucked into a bed surrounded by all his toys and notes from our daughters. We were given the time to say our final goodbyes before he was carefully transported for aftercare. Although we are incredibly sad about the loss of our best friend we will be forever grateful we were able to give him the dignified farewell he deserved and for the care provided by the beautiful team at Rest your paws. ❤️”

“I have the deepest appreciation for your assistance with the end of life for Mia recently. It was the hardest day of my life but you made the afternoon so much bearable. I truly have such admiration for your service. I was humbled by the vet chosen for Mia and her true sense of love for animals and my Mia. Her reassurance in my choices helped me through my grieving.
